ISLAMABAD: As per National Locusts Control Centre(NLCC), Locust Warriors fighting Locust on 14 Aug to ensure food security of the Nation. Anti locust survey and control operations are in progress with the presence of locust only in two districts of Pakistan. In the last 24 hrs 245880 hectares area has been surveyed.
In the last 24 hrs, ground control operation has been carried out on 100 hectares of District Lasbella of Balochistan and 620 hectares of district Tharparkar of Sind. Moreover, Aerial control operation with the help of Beaver Aircraft has been carried out over 400 Hectares in general area Islamkot of district Tharparkar. In the last 6 months, control operation has been carried out on 1108990 hectares area of land.
